Warman Physio is proud to be able to direct bill for many insurance providers. The Telus portal holds many common carriers. In addition to these insurances we also provide direct billing to Sunlife, Saskatchewan Blue Cross, and Medavie Blue Cross to name a few. Why can you only direct bill the primary insurance?
Unfortunately at Warman Physio we have found that billing more than one insurance results in various issues with reimbursement. As a result we are able to direct bill your primary insurance, and will provide a receipt for the remaining insurance submissions.
What happens if my insurance doesn’t cover the whole cost of the appointment?
Many plans have different coverages: 100%, 80%, a portion to a certain dollar amount, and many other variations. It is insured responsibility to know what their direct billing covers. This may mean that having a doctors note is required before we can direct bill. Direct billing may be insufficient to cover the cost, or the insurance declines the submission. In these cases it is the responsibility of the individual receiving treatment to provide payment out of pocket.
