Frequently Asked Questions:
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss your health history, eating habits, lifestyle, and goals. Together, you’ll develop a personalized nutrition plan that fits your needs, preferences, and daily life.
Can seeing a dietitian help with more than weight management?
Absolutely! Nutrition plays an important role in digestive health, chronic disease management, pregnancy, sports performance, infant and child feeding, menopause, healthy aging, and overall wellness. Many people see a dietitian simply to improve their health and relationship with food.
Do I need a doctors referral?
No. A doctor’s referral is not required to book a nutrition services appointment. You can book directly with one of our registered dietitians at any time. Some extended health benefit plans may require a referral for reimbursement, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider if you have questions about your coverage.
Do you work with children?
Yes! Our Registered Dietitians provide nutrition support for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Whether you’re introducing solids, navigating picky eating, supporting growth and development, or addressing a medical condition, we’re here to help.
How do I know which dietitian is the right fit for me?
Each of our Registered Dietitians has unique areas of expertise and special interests, but they all share the same commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. You can explore each dietitian’s profile to learn more about their experience and areas of focus. If you’re unsure who would be the best fit for your needs, our friendly Client Care team is happy to help match you with the dietitian who best aligns with your goals and preferences.
