Shannon Domres
Shannon graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2008 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2011. During her time at the university, she was a member of the Huskie Women’s Volleyball team while also working as a Certified Personal Trainer at the Human Performance Centre, experiences that shaped her passion for movement, performance, and rehabilitation.
Since graduating, Shannon has practiced throughout Saskatoon and rural Saskatchewan, helping individuals of all ages recover from injury, improve function, and return to the activities they enjoy. She is passionate about providing individualized, evidence-based care and believes that education is an essential part of helping clients achieve long-term success.
Shannon has extensive post-graduate training in orthopaedic physiotherapy, including Orthopaedic Division Level II and III (Upper and Lower Quadrant), and is Bone Fit™ trained through Osteoporosis Canada. She has also completed advanced education in movement impairment syndromes, functional capacity evaluation, mobilization of the nervous system, graded motor imagery, and GUNN Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).
Her clinical interests include spinal assessment and treatment, sports rehabilitation, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, osteoporosis management, post-surgical rehabilitation, and general orthopaedic conditions. Drawing on her background as an athlete, Shannon particularly enjoys helping athletes recover from injury, optimize performance, and safely return to sport. She also has a strong interest in supporting individuals living with osteoporosis by helping them build strength, confidence, and resilience while raising awareness about bone health.
